A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped address under the very same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you’ve got a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet very user-friendly, and it will permit you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox without difficulty even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
